Google приступил к тестированию показов рекламы приложений в результатах поиска магазина Google Play. Объявления вызываются релевантными поисковыми запросами аналогично контекстной рекламе Google AdWords.

Поисковые объявления в Google Play позволят разработчикам уведомлять пользователей о своих приложениях и обеспечат потребителям новые способы обнаружения приложений, которые они могли бы не заметить,пишет Sostav

В приведенном примере объявление появляется в результатах поисковой выдачи по запросу «coupon app» и помечается желтой иконкой «Ad», которую поисковая система также использует в результатах поиска Google.com.

В тестировании будут задействованы объявления экспериментальной группы рекламодателей, уже запустивших поисковые объявления Google AdWords для своих приложений. Возможность приобретения рекламных объявлений магазина Play App Store в AdWords, возможно, будет реализована позже.

Google также объявил, что выплатил разработчикам приложений более 7 млрд долларов через Google Play.

Согласно данным аналитической компании App Annie, в 2014 году Google Play обогнал App Store Apple по количеству загрузок. По итогам года, пользователи скачали на 60% больше приложений для Android, чем для iOS. Тем не менее, в вопросе монетизации наблюдается обратная ситуация: в 2014 году доход App Store был на 70% выше, чем у Google Play.
