Компания Google выиграла судебный спор во Франции, что позволит компании избежать выплат в размере €1,12 млрд в бюджет страны, на которых настаивала французская налоговая служба.

Согласно решению французского суда, Google не нарушала законодательства, фиксируя часть продаж внутри страны в отчетности ирландского подразделения, передает Интерфакс-Украина.

Суд постановил, что ирландское подразделение Google, отвечающее за европейские операции компании, не может облагаться налогами во Франции.

"Ирландская компания Google Ireland Ltd. не могла облагаться налогом во Франции", - говорится в решении суда.

Напомним, что в 2015 году французская налоговая служба обратилась к правоохранительным органам страны с жалобой на то, что компания Google Ireland Ltd. не подала налоговую декларацию, несмотря на осуществление деятельности на территории Франции.

"Французский административный суд подтвердил, что Google подчиняется французскому законодательству и международным стандартам", - отмечается в заявлении Google.

Европейская комиссия оштрафовала американскую компанию Google на рекордные €2,4 млрд в рамках дела о злоупотреблении компанией доминирующим положением на рынке при продвижении сервиса Google Shopping.
