У повідомленні зазначається, що американська компанія Google надала 706 тис. євро на розвиток стартапу з автоматичного написання новин, без участі журналістів.

"Спільний проект британського новинного агентства Press Association і стартапу Urbs Media отримав фінансування від американської корпорації Google", - йдеться в повідомленні.

Згідно з інформацією видання, сума гранту становить 706 тис. євро і спрямована на розвиток програми автоматичного написання статей, сервіс отримав назву RADAR.

Так, програма RADAR - це нова послуга, яка кожен місяць буде створювати до 30 тис. локальних історій з відкритих джерел у мережі. Таким чином RADAR покликаний задовольнити зростаючий попит на послідовні, засновані на фактах, новини місцевих громад, замість того аби створювати нові регіональні ЗМІ.  

Крім того програма може частково покрити зростаючий попит на незалежних авторів у сфері блогінгу.
