Глава МЗС Великої Британії Борис Джонсон (Boris Johnson) розкритикував депутатів з Лейбористської партії за часту появу в ефірах державного російського телеканалу Russia Today.

Про це він заявив під час виступу у парламенті, пише Media Sapiens із посиланням на The Guardian.

Він назвав це скандалом.

«Зважаючи на сьогоднішній стан преси в Росії, те, що члени партії продовжують це робити є скандалом, таким чином вони утверджують легітимізують такий тип пропаганди. Команда мого міністерства запевнила мене, що ніхто з них такого не робить», – заявив пан Джонсон.

Як повідомляє «Європейська правда», таким чином міністр відповів на запитання депутата-консерватора щодо оприлюднених у ЗМІ даних про участь лейбористів в ефірах контрольованого Кремлем каналу. За інформацією британських медіа, верхівка Лейбористської партії за останні два роки з’являлися в ефірах Russia Today понад 40 разів.

У своєму виступі Борис Джонсон також звинуватив Росію в поведінці, характерній для Холодної війни.

«Трагедія полягає в тому, що Росія багато в чому поводиться так, ніби справді відбувається нова холодна війна, і наша мета – запобігти погіршенню ситуації», - уважає очільник МЗС Великої Британії.

Нагадаємо, у травні президент Франції Еммануель Макрон назвав російські Russia Today та Sputnik органами пропаганди. Через це їм було відмовлено в акредитації у його виборчому штабі.
