Керівник Державної охорони Валерій Гелетей отримав від начальника Управління спеціальних операцій Генштабу полковника Сергія Кривоноса відзнаку спецназу Збройних Сил України за літній наступ 2014-го року. Мова йде про нагрудний знак Святослава Хороброго "Іду на ви". Про це цю нагороду Валерій Гелетей повідомив нав своїй  сторінці у Фейсбук

"Це - найдорожча в моєму житті нагорода, і не тому, що це - моя єдина нагорода за АТО, і навіть не тому, що мені була надана честь бути першим нагородженим цією відзнакою, а тому, що вона вручена мені моїми найкращими офіцерами, які дійсно здатні реально оцінити, яку катастрофу ми відвернули тими страшними літніми місяцями", - написав Валерій Гелетей.

За його словами: "тоді ми поховали Новоросію і процес відновлення територіальної цілісності нашої держави - питання лише часу".

Валерій Гелетей додав, що "не лише в Донецьку та Луганську, але в Ялті, Симферополі та Севастополі будуть вулиці, названі на честь наших полеглих героїв".
