Міжнародна неурядова організація Freedom House вважає Крим територією з відсутністю свободи.

Про це йдеться у звіті організації за 2016 рік.

На мапі організації Крим позначено як територію "невільну" (як і Росія), в той час як решта України позначена кольором "частково вільної" країни.

 
 
СКРІНШОТ

У Freedom House заявили, що підготували окрему доповідь з Криму, оскільки вважають, що рівень громадянських свобод і політичних прав в Криму відрізняється від стану зазначених прав і свобод на іншій території Україні.

Як повідомляють "Українські новини" 31 січня директор представництва Freedom House в Україні Метью Шааф під час презентації звіту сказав, що спірні території іноді оцінюється окремо, якщо вони відповідають певним критеріям, включаючи межі, які досить стабільні для проведення щорічного порівняння.

"Freedom House також проводить аналіз певних спірних територій окремих незалежних держав як у випадку з Кримом", - сказав він.

При цьому Шааф підкреслив, що оцінювання рівня свободи на певних територіях не означає визнання будь-якої зі сторін конфлікту в суперечці про суверенітет.

Як відомо, раніше окремі українські ЗМІ помилково написали, що Freedom House на своїй карті відніс Крим до території Росії.

Україна потрапила в розділ "частково вільних країн" в рейтингу "Свобода у світі-2017" Freedom House.
