Так, за словами сенатора-республіканця від штату Айова Чака Грассли, доступ Клінтон до секретної інформації був їй нібито було надано для роботи над її власними мемуарами.

Крім того повідомляється, що ряд колишніх соратників отримали статус асистентів в наукових дослідженнях.

Згідно з повідомленням, FoxNews подав у Держдеп запит про те, чи був у Клінтон і її колег призупинений або скасований доступ до держтаємниці, але відповідь на даний момент не отримано.

Нагадаємо, Клінтон звинувачують у використанні особистої пошти під час її роботи на посаді державного секретаря США для робочого листування. Однак директор ФБР раніше зазначив, що необережне поводження з документами не є приводом для початку кримінального розслідування.

Влітку 2016 року ФБР допитало Хілларі Клінтон у справі про використання засобів зв'язку в особистих цілях.

Колишній суперник Клінтон по передвиборній гонці і нинішній президент-республіканець Дональд Трамп в ході виборчої кампанії говорив, що справа про особисте листування містить "найстрашніші кримінальні злочини".
