Большое жюри в Вашингтоне на основе представлений спецпрокурора Роберта Мюллера издало судебные требования к ряду «глобальных банков» о предоставлении информации обо всех счетах Манафорта, его компаний, ряда его партнеров и родственников, а также о движении денег на этих счетах, сообщает PRпортал, со ссылкой на Bloomberg.

Один из авторов этой статьи, Грег Фаррел, был также гостем вечерней передачи Рэчел Мэддоу на канале MSNBC. В статье идет речь о денежных делах Манафорта с «украинским олигархом». На сайте bipartisanreport появилась информация о том, что этот олигарх, по-видимому, Дмитрий Фирташ, который 10 лет назад вложил 25 миллионов долларов в совместный с Манафортом бизнес по нью-йоркской недвижимости. В настоящее время в Австрии Фирташ обвиняется в несвязанном деле с выплатой взятки в Индии в нарушение Закона об иностранной коррупции. 

Адвокат Фирташа, Дан Уэбб уже заявил: «Мой клиент никоим образом не сотрудничал и не сотрудничает с Манафортом». Фирма под названием CMZ Ventures должна была спроектировать роскошный небоскреб на Park Avenue в 2008 году. На самом же деле скрытые источники утверждают, что настоящая цель фирмы заключалась в том, чтобы отмывать деньги через финансовую систему США, сократив продажи природного газа в Украину.
