Facebook намерен закрыть рекламную биржу Fasebook Exchange (FBX). Биржа позволяет покупать десктопную рекламу, нацеленную на пользователей, уже посетивших сайт рекламодателя.

Первым о планах компании сообщило издание The Wall Street Journal. Позже в Facebook подтвердили эту информацию.

Вице-президент Facebook по управлению продуктами Мэтт Идема (Matt Idema) заявил, что это решение связано с переориентацией компании на мобильный сегмент. По данным финансового отчёта за первый квартал 2016 года, на доход от мобильной рекламы приходится 82% от общей выручки Facebook.

«На сегодня мобайл является необходимым компонентом эффективных маркетинговых кампаний. Facebook помогает миллионам компаний понять путь к покупке их клиентов по различным устройствам. Динамические объявления и Пользовательские аудитории – по сути, мобильные продукты, поэтому расходы на Facebook Exchange были перенаправлены на эти решения», - отметил руководитель.

Facebook запустил рекламную биржу Facebook Exchange в 2012 году.
