У «брудний список» потрапили 49 компаній зі США, Великої Британії, Франції, Швейцарії та Китаю.
 

Як пише The Guardian, їх називають причетними до порушень прав людини, екологічних зловживань чи співпраці з військовими М’янми, які брали участь у геноциді місцевої меншини мусульман-рогінджа. Список склала організація Burma Campaign UK, що бореться за дотриманням прав людини у М’янмі.  

В організації зазначають: Facebook у цьому списку, оскільки «вона дозволила, щоб її платформа була використана для підбурювання у М’янмі до насильства проти меншини мусульман-рогінджа і мусульман загалом».

Компанію звинувачують у тому, що роками вона не прибирала з соціальної платформи расистський та небезпечний контент.

Раніше Facebook визнала, що зробила замало для запобігання насильству у М’янмі.

ООН вже заявила про геноцид мусульмани-рогінджа у М’янмі. З 2016 року майже мільйон представників цієї народності втекли з країни.
