Найбільша соціальна мережа світу Facebook спільно з німецьким Федеральним відомством з безпеки інформаційних технологій (BSI) боротимуться проти маніпуляцій на виборах.

Про це на конференції в Мюнхені оголосила головна операційна директорка компанії Facebook Шеріл Сандберг, повідомляє Європейська правда із посиланням на Deutsche Welle.

У рамках співпраці Facebook та BSI розроблятимуть стратегії, що дозволять уникнути втручань у перебіг виборів.

Сандберг також оголосила про новий партнерський проект з Технічним університетом Мюнхена. Facebook виділить $7,5 мільйона на створення центру досліджень етики штучного інтелекту.

У багатьох країнах платформи американської компанії - соцмережа Facebook, фотосервіс Instagram та месенджер Whatsapp - активно використовуються партіями та політиками під час виборчих кампаній. При цьому досить поширеними є мова ненависті та фальшиві новини.

Одним з найвідоміших скандалів навколо Facebook був витік даних 87 мільйонів користувачів соцмережі, якими скористалася компанія Cambridge Analytica. За словами Сандберг, сьогодні 30 тисяч працівників компанії покращують рівень безпеки, а це втричі більше, ніж 2017 року.
