Обвинения в политической цензуре прозвучали от консерваторов и правых политических сил США, которые пожаловались на цензуру, якобы направленную против них. Эти обвинения уже неделю обсуждаются в сенате США. В обвинениях фигурирует подразделение Trending Topics, отвечающее за тренды в Facebook, которое отслеживает дискуссии и показывает пользователю в ленте топ самых обсуждаемых новостей.
Ранее Марк Цукерберг заявлял, что его компания не обнаружила никаких доказательств существования практики вмешательства в алгоритмы работы Trending Topics. Однако бывшие сотрудники компании утверждают, что редакторы вмешиваются в работу подразделения.
