Американська компанія Facebook побудує 1,5 тис. будинків для своїх співробітників в технопарку Менло-Парк.

У повідомленні зазначено, що у зв'язку з нестачею житла для працівників, компанія Facebook планує почати будівництво 1,5 тис.одиниць житла в своєму технологічному парку Менло-Парк, що знаходиться в штаті Каліфорнія.

Зазначається, що на цей проект буде витрачено $18,5 млн.

Технопарк, в якому розташована штаб-квартира компанії, передбачається назвати Віллоу-Віллідж ( Вербове село).

В компанії повідомляють, що 85% побудованого житла буде призначене для співробітників, інші 15% будуть продаватися за цінами нижче ринкових. У Facebook вважають, що будівництво викличе зростання чисельності населення і, відповідно, спричинить за собою необхідність інвестувати в транспортні проекти.

"Завдання полягає в тому, щоб створити інтегроване багатоцільове поселення, в якому будуть всі необхідні послуги, житло, транспорт і офісні приміщення", - йдеться в повідомленні компанії.

Компанія Facebook вже підготувала план будівництва і представить його на розгляд влади міста Менло-Парк до кінця цього місяця. Facebook відводить два роки на узгодження своїх планів з місцевими органами влади. Будівництво буде вестися поетапно, першу фазу планується завершити на початку 2021 року.
