Глава ЦРУ Майк Помпео обвинил портал Wikileaks в шпионаже в пользу России

Об этом сообщает The Foreign Policy, передает "ДС".

О своей позиции по этому поводу Помпео заявил во время выступления в Центре стратегических и международных исследований в Вашингтоне.

"Пришло время признать Wikileaks тем, чем он действительно есть - негосударственной, враждебной службой разведки, подстрекаемой такими государствами как Россия", - сказал глава американской спецслужбы.

Помпео напомнил, что американские спецслужбы пришли к выводу, что российская военная разведка использовала портал для публикации электронных писем, похищенных после взлома серверов демократической партии.

Глава ЦРУ пригрозил ответными мерами на действия Wikileaks. Он подчеркнул, что портал не может прикрывать свою деятельность риторикой о свободе слова.

Также директор спецслужбы прокомментировал ситуацию в Сирии, вновь выразив обвинения в использовании химического оружия в адрес режима Башара Асада. Помпео подверг критике позицию России по этому вопросу, упомянув в этом контексте Владимира Путина. Глава ЦРУ обвинил российского президента в том, что он не признает проверенные доказательства вины сирийского режима.
