Компания выпустила наружную рекламу и видеоролик, в котором показан веб-адрес с использованием радостных эмодзи и домена .ws (острова Самоа). При наборе этого адреса пользователь попадает на специально созданную страницу Coca-Cola —Emoticoke.com., пишет Состав.ua.

Как пояснили в компании, выбор домена .ws обусловлен, во-первых, тем, что наиболее распространенные домены (.com, .net и .org) не принимают адреса, содержащие нестандартные символы. Из тех доменов, которые работают с подобными адресами, .ws был выбран потому, что содержащиеся в нем буквы можно расшифровать как we smile - «мы улыбаемся».

Большинство пользователей посещают сайт Coca-Cola с мобильных устройств. Таким образом, реклама с использованием эмодзи является для компании идеальным средством привлечения молодой аудитории, считают в Coca-Cola.
