Французский сатирический еженедельник Charlie Hebdo опубликовал карикатуру, посвященную запрету на участие в Олимпийских Играх в Рио для российских легкоатлетов, уличенных в массовом применении допинга.

В свежем номере издания содержится рисунок, озаглавленный "Российским атлетам запретили участвовать в ОИ". Под заголовком изображен снаряд для прыжков с шестом, рядом с которым стоят два человека с красными носами в футболках с надписью "прыжки в высоту". "Надо сказать Сергею, чтобы переставал тренироваться", – говорит один из стоящих, указывая пальцем на силуэт третьего "спортсмена", только что совершившего прыжок и еще не приземлившегося. "Когда он это узнает, он спустится с небес на землю", – отвечает ему собеседник.

Исполком Международного олимпийского комитета (МОК) в воскресенье принял решение не отстранять сборную России от Олимпиады-2016. Право определять, кто сможет выступить на Олимпиаде-2016 в Рио-де-Жанейро, было отдано международным спортивным федерациям при выполнении россиянами ряда критериев.

При этом Спортивный арбитражный суд (CAS) в Лозанне неделю назад отклонил объединенный иск Олимпийского комитета России (ОКР) и 68 российских легкоатлетов к Международной ассоциации легкоатлетических федераций (IAAF) на недопуск российских легкоатлетов до участия в международных соревнованиях.
