Экспертов обанкротившейся британской компании Cambridge Analytica привлекли к подготовке переизбрания президента США Дональда Трампа в 2020 году. Об этом 16 июня агентство Associated Press сообщило со ссылкой на свои источники.

По их данным, бывшие сотрудники Cambridge Analytica перешли в фирму Data Propria, которая также занимается политическим консалтингом и работой с соцсетями. Во главе новой фирмы стоит Мэтт Ожковски, ранее возглавлявший аналитическую работу в Cambridge Analytica.

Ожковски подтвердил, что 10 его коллег по предыдущему месту работы присоединились к новому проекту. До этого он утверждал, что больше не будет сотрудничать с политиками, но теперь "открыт для любой работы".

Менеджер будущей президентской кампании Трампа Брэд Парскеле заверил, что пока не заключал контракты с какими-либо подрядчиками.

Cambridge Analytica, работая на предвыборный штаб Трампа, в 2016 году собрала личные данные 87 млн пользователей Facebook для продвижения релевантной политической рекламы. 

В мае 2018 года после появления публикаций в СМИ на эту тему компания начала процедуру банкротства. СМИ писали, что фирма может продолжить работу под другим названием – Emerdata Limited.

По данным газеты The New York Times, министерство юстиции США и ФБР расследуют деятельность Cambridge Analytica.
