Ранее британская вещательная корпорация BBC отстранила от эфира ведущего автошоу Top Gear Джереми Кларксона. 54-летний ведущий буквально "взбеленился" из-за вопроса доставки еды и ударил ассистента, которого он счел виновным в проблемах с ужином. В итоге это привело к санкциям от руководства.Top Gear является самым популярным шоу телеканала BBC2 - его аудитория в Британии превышает 5 миллионов человек, а по всему миру - 350 миллионов зрителей. Шоу зарабатывает до 150 миллионов фунтов прибыли. Джереми Кларксон и его два напарника, Ричард Хаммонд и Джеймс Мэй, не раз шутили на грани фола в эфире.В 2011 году одна из ремарок едва не привела к международнму скандалу - BBC позже извинялась за реплику Хаммонда: "Машины отражают национальные характеристики. Мексиканские машины же будут ленивыми, нерадивыми, напыщенными и толстыми; они, вместе со своими одеялами с дыркой посередине, которые они используют в качестве пальто, станут в полусне опираться на забор и смотреть на кактусы".
