У адміністрації президента США визнають, що Росія становить загрозу для кібербезпеки Сполучених Штатів, однак наполягають на необхідності співпрацювати з Москвою в цій сфері.
 

Про це заявила в понеділок під час брифінгу "не для камер" заступник речника Білого дому Сара Сандерс, передає власний кореспондент Укрінформу.

"Ми визнаємо, що Росія – це кібернетична загроза. Але ми також усвідомлюємо необхідність спілкуватися з нашими противниками, й коли наші супротивники бачать силу, як це було з президентом під час зустрічі (з Путіним – ред.), то можна шукати інші способи працювати над спільними інтересами та шукати позитивні моменти, де можна було би домогтися успіху", - зауважила представник Білого дому.

Відповідаючи на запитання, чи планують США і Росія створити спільний підрозділ з кібербезпеки, Сандерс зазначила, що не впевнена у факті обговорення конкретних деталей.

"Я думаю, це була просто дискусія про загрози кібербезпеки та потенційні варіанти", - сказала представник адміністрації президента США.

Як раніше повідомляло агентство, Росія може мати відношення до порушення роботи щонайменше десяти електростанцій у США, включаючи ядерний об'єкт Волф Крік у Канзасі.
