У Білому домі заявили, що на полях саміту G20 у Гамбурзі не було ніякої другої зустрічі між президентами США і Росії Дональдом Трампом і Володимиром Путіним, а відбулася лише "коротка бесіда".
 

Про це повідомляє Reuters з посиланням на представника Білого дому, передає Укрінформ.

"Не було ніякої "другої зустрічі" між президентом Трампом і президентом Путіним, лише коротка бесіда в кінці вечері. Звинувачення у тому, що Білий дім спробував "приховати" другу зустріч, помилкові, злісні та абсурдні", - наголосив чиновник.

Як зазначається, після офіційної зустрічі обидва лідери відвідали вечерю, на якій також були присутні інші лідери "Великої двадцятки".

За словами чиновника, Путін на вечері сидів поруч із першою леді США Меланією Трамп.

Як раніше повідомляли ЗМІ, Трамп і Путін, крім зустрічі на саміті G20 у Гамбурзі, яку оголосили першою, ознайомчою зустріччю, мали ще одну можливість для обговорень, про що раніше не повідомляла жодна сторона.

Сам Трамп назвав історію про секретну зустріч із Путіним "фейковою".
