Агентство Ogilvy Barcelona та автомобільний бренд Audi інтерпретувалиживописний твір з точки зору автомобіля за допомогою технології LiDAR.

LiDAR — це абревіатура від light detection and ranging — технології, інтегрованої в системи безпеки Audi, яка визначає відстань і глибину для створення точних 3D-карт навколишнього середовища та покращення досвіду водіння і безпеки пасажирів.

Однак деякі митці починають розвивати цю технологію далі, використовуючи її як творчий інструмент. Так вчинила і компанія Audi, яка за допомогою диджитал-художника Хав’єра Пардіни створила 3D-репрезентацію, згенеровану з більш ніж 2 мільйонів точок інформації.

Щоб розрахувати відстань і глибину картини, необхідно було відтворити зміст картини в реальних умовах. Це почалося з попередніх досліджень, доповнених процесом кастингу, стилізацією, костюмами, освітленням і декораціями, вірними епосі, в якій Веласкес намалював свій шедевр. Для цього Audi та Ogilvy зібрали команду експертів з різних дисциплін, таких як інженерія LiDAR, історія мистецтва, сценографія та диджитал-мистецтво.

У рамках проєкту було створено лімітовану серію зі 180 робіт, які Audi передасть учасникам своєї платформи творчості та інновацій.
