Американская корпорация Apple предоставит пользователям iPhone и iPad возможность блокировать онлайн-рекламу, которая отображается в браузере Safari. Согласно документам, которые были направлены производителям мобильных приложений, эта опция будет предусмотрена в новой версии мобильной операционной системы iOS 9, которая станет доступна в 2015 году, пишет Financial Times,передает news.rambler.ru.

Инструмент, получивший название «Content Blocking Safari Extensions», дает «быстрый и эффективный способ блокировки cookie-файлов, изображений, ресурсов, всплывающих окон и прочего вида контента», говорится в материалах для разработчиков.

По данным исследования Adobe и PageFair, количество клиентов, которые используют сервисы блокировки рекламы, в 2014 году выросло на 70% до 140 млн человек.
