Міністр закордонних справ України Павло Клімкін заявляє, що з 29 серпня в МЗС працюватиме платформа для сприяння звільненню українців в Росії за участю колишнього українського політв'язня в Росії Геннадія Афанасьєва.

"В останні 2,5 роки у нас виникли принципово нові завдання, наприклад, звільнення наших політичних в'язнів і заручників. Хочу сьогодні подякувати всім тим, хто працював над допомогою нашим політичним в'язням, над їх звільненням", - сказав він під час відкриття ХІ наради керівників закордонних дипломатичних установ України в Києві в понеділок, пише Інтерфакс-Україна

П. Клімкін окремо подякував дипломатам, які працюють в українських дипломатичних представництвах безпосередньо в Росії.

"Можу сказати, що з наступного тижня у нас діятиме, саме тут, в МЗС, спеціальна платформа, де ми взаємодіятимемо, де будуть взаємодіяти неурядові організації", - сказав він.

Міністр додав, що в рамках цієї платформи спеціальним представником МЗС працюватиме Геннадій Афанасьєв.
