Видеохостинг YouTube заблокировал видео премьер-министра Австралии Тони Эббота (Tony Abbott) с отчетом о работе возглавляемого им правительства. Об этом 3 февраля сообщает газета The Sydney Morning Herald.

Ролик был заблокирован после жалобы одного из пользователей YouTube, отметившего видео, как спам. В общей сложности блокировка продлилась около восьми часов.

После того, как ограничение доступа к видеозаписи было снято, представители YouTube назвали произошедшее «человеческой ошибкой» и принесли свои извинения главе австралийского правительства. «Видео удалили по ошибке из-за жалобы одного из пользователей. Как только мы узнали о произошедшем, то сразу предприняли все меры по восстановлению ролика на сайте», — заявили в YouTube.

Временное удаление ролика вызвало бурную реакцию в соцсетях. Пользователи Twitter, в частности, предположили, что видео удалили вовсе не по ошибке, а из-за «лжи» Эббота, который хвастался выполнением предвыборных обещаний. «Ложь, ложь и еще раз ложь. Видео Эббота YouTube посчитал недобросовестной рекламой»,  — написал один из пользователей.

Ролик Тони Эббота под названием «Выполняя обещания» (Delivering on Our Promises) был опубликован на YouTube 1 февраля. На видео Эббот рассказывает о достижениях возглавляемого им кабинета за первый месяц 2014 года. В частности, премьер-министр отмечает улучшение ситуации в области контроля за нелегальной миграцией, а также сообщает о готовящейся отмене непопулярного в Австралии налога на выбросы углекислого газа.
