Бывший народный депутат Александр Шепелев вместе со своей женой попросил у руковдства Венгрии убежища, сообщает Радіо Свобода со ссылкой на местную газету Magyar Nemzet.

Напомним, что Шепелев обвиняется в покушении на убийство и расхищении средств из банка, а его жену обвиняют в финансовом преступлении. Однако политик уверенно отрицает подобную информацию.

Суд Будапешта ранее принял решение, что Шепелева нужно депортировать в Украину до 14 августа, после его задержания по ордеру от Интерпола в июле.

Ранее Шепелев был нардепом от Батьківщини и Партии регионов, однако в прошлом году не прошел в парламент в одномандатном округе в Виннице.

Как сообщалось 8 июля, бывший народный депутат от БЮТ Александр Шепелев может попросить политическое убежища в Венгрии, считают юристы. Как пишут СМИ, он был задержан в ресторане во время празднования своего 43-летия.
