29 апреля, в Донецке после заседания Координационного совета Общественного движения «Юго-Восток» состоялась пресс – конференция кандидата в президенты Украины, народного депутата Украины Олега Царева, во время которой он сделал заявление о своем решении прекратить участие в президентской компании 2014 года сообщает InPress.

"Я принял решение снять свою кандидатуру, потому что вижу, что в таких условиях кандидатский статус неэффективен. Мы будем искать другие информационные каналы и возможности для донесения своих мыслей и позиций до жителей центральной и западной Украины.

Я призываю всех остальных кандидатов - Петра Симоненко, Михаила Добкина, Сергея Тигипко, Рената Кузьмина и других кандидатов, основной электорат которых находится на Юго-Востоке, сняться с выборов! Выборам, которые проходят на фоне гражданской войны, надо объявить бойкот!

Будьте честными с самими собой! Вы не можете не понимать, что, участвуя в выборах, вы подыгрываете незаконной "власти" и легитимизируете не только ее, но и её решение начать гражданскую войну против восточных регионов!" - заявил Царев.
