По данным опроса общественного мнения, проведенного телеканалом CNN и фирмой ORC, сорок процентов американцев поддерживают внешнюю политику США, 57 - считают ее неудачной, - сообщают РИА Новости

Как сообщается, это наиболее низкий показатель поддержки Обамы по данному вопросу за всю историю аналогичных опросов, проведенных CNN.

В январе Обаму поддерживали во внешней политике 54% опрошенных, в апреле - 49%, в июне - 40%.

"Это может быть сигналом, что у президента, который раньше показывал наивысшие рейтинги за свой подход к внешней политике, появились проблемы", - сказал директор по опросам общественного мнения CNN Китинг Холланд.

По наиболее острому вопросу Сирии лишь 31% опрошенных поддерживает политику президента, 63% же ею не довольны. Среди тех, кто не принадлежит к Демократической партии, цифры неприятия политики Обамы еще выше - ее поддерживают лишь 9% республиканцев.

Общий рейтинг поддержки Обамы зафиксирован на уровне 45%, при этом 52% говорят, что недовольны его работой в Белом доме. Эти цифры не изменились за последние три месяца.

"Очевидно, непопулярность военных действий против Сирии уравновешена тем обстоятельством, что общество хотело, чтобы президент посоветовался с конгрессом, прежде чем браться за военные действия против Сирии, и именно это он и сделал", - сказал Холланд.
