Центральная избирательная комиссия Грузии зарегистрировала 23 кандидата в президенты.

Такое количество претендентов на высший государственный пост является рекордным за всю избирательную историю страны. До этого наибольшее количество кандидатов - семь - участвовали в президентских выборах 5 января 2008, сообщает вЧасПик.

Голосование, напомним, запланировано на 27 октября. ЦИК должна была завершить регистрацию кандидатов за месяц до этой даты, однако комиссия досрочно завершила проверку всех заявок. Право баллотироваться в президенты получили 13 человек, представленных независимыми инициативными группами, и десять кандидатов от разных партий и объединений.
