Самый молодой и самый популярный столичный градоначальник в постсоветском пространстве Нил Ушаков использует соцсети вместо социологов.

"Не нужно обращаться к социологам, проводить опросы - все перед носом, бесплатно. Ты же не можешь сам проехать по всем троллейбусным маршрутам, - сказал Ушаков в интервью "Корреспонденту". - А когда какие-то изменения происходят в городе, тебе сразу пишут. Люди не стесняются".

"Если у тебя на Facebook 20 тыс. подписчиков, то по латвийским меркам это больше, чем тираж газеты. У меня аккаунты в трех соцсетях - Facebook, Одноклассниках и Twitter. Огромное количество людей используют именно эти каналы, чтобы обратиться с жалобой или проблемой. Не письмо пишут в думу и не приходят. И в принципе все вопросы по делу мы рассматриваем как официальные жалобы, и мои помощники их разгребают", - говорит Ушаков, которого поддерживают свыше 70% рижан.
