В Севастополе директор Пушкинской гимназии Виктор Оганесян выступил с резкой критикой конкурса "Я – европеец", провести который в учебных заведениях  приказало местное управление образования, пишет "Росбалт".

Начальник управления образования севастопольской госадминистрации Ирина Заец издала приказ провести во всех школах города среди учеников 8-11 классов региональный этап конкурса эссе "Я – европеец" с целью "привлечения внимания к развитию украино-литовских отношений в разных сферах общественной жизни, пропаганды европейских ценностей, демократических принципов государственного устройства".

Далеко не все педагоги города поддержали идею проведения такого конкурса. Многие полагают, что подобные темы сочинений – это втягивание детей в политику, сообщает "Новый регион".  "Вопрос подписания Украиной соглашения с Евросоюзом дискутируется в обществе, возможно, родители многих учеников не поддерживают эту идею. Мы заставим детей либо вступать в конфликт в семье, либо писать то, что им будет продиктовано, либо врать.  Далеко не все в современной Европе может нравиться, к примеру, агрессивная гей-пропаганда. Такой политизации тем для конкурсного сочинения не позволяли себе даже чиновники от образования в Советском Союзе" – сказал  Оганесян в интервью изданию. Известный в Севастополе педагог указал и на то, что проведение подобных конкурсов противоречит юридическим нормам функционирования украинских школ.

Оганесян известен тем, что в годы президентства Виктора Ющенко открыто отказался пропагандировать идею "голодомора-геноцида". Тогда вскоре против директора гимназии было возбуждено уголовное дело. В 2010 году уголовное дело было закрыто по решению суда.
