Бренд снеків Cheetos розширює свою маркетингову кампанію «The Other Hand» за допомогою спеціального шрифту, приуроченого до Національного дня ручного письма, який відзначається 23 січня.

Шрифт «The Other Hand» має навмисно кривий вигляд, нібито створений дизайнерами, які покладаються на свою недомінуючу руку, коли насолоджуються пакетом снеків.

 

За трюком з типографікою бренду стоїть дизайнерський підрозділ агентства Goodby Silverstein & Partners. 

Ролик показує, як співробітники агентства та його засновник Річ Сільверштейн намагаються зробити проєкт Cheetos правильним, оскільки їм доводиться працювати лише однією рукою. Демонстрація кінцевого продукту супроводжується тріумфальним голосом за кадром, який стверджує, що шрифт «The Other Hand» є революційним і представляє «досконалість у дизайні». Кріс Беллінгер, креативний директор PepsiCo Foods U.S., висловився інакше, назвавши шрифт «сміховинно поганим».

Шрифт «The Other Hand» доступний на сайті Cheetos та у вигляді плагіну для браузера Google Chrome, який змінює шрифт інших вебсайтів.
