У магазині ігор Steam зʼявилось демоверсія мережевого шутера SAND від львівської студії Hologryph.
Перша демо дає змогу покататися на Трамплерах (гігантських крокоходах-кораблях) і позмагатися з іншими командами.
Демо містить PVP-частину гри та систему модифікації Трамплерів. У майбутньому розробники планують розширити SAND, додавши PVE-режим, інших персонажів тощо.
Hologryph публікують демо насамперед для того, щоб зібрати фідбек гравців, виправити технічні помилки та покращити оптимізацію. Щоб покращити ігровий досвід для української спільноти розробники спеціально виділяють додаткові сервери в Польщі.
Розробники не встигли закінчити українську локалізацію для демоверсії, тому наразі вона доступна тільки англійською. Але сама гра вийде в реліз із українською локалізацією.

Всесвіт SAND — це альтернативна історія Європи. У XIX столітті людство винайшло нові джерела енергії, які розігнали науково-технічний прогрес. Австро-Угорська імперія, як і решта великих держав, почала ще тоді потроху колонізувати космос. Одна з колонізованих планет — Софія, яку імператор пообіцяв галичанам, якщо вони вирушать туди будувати міста.
В якийсь момент історії на Софії стається екологічна катастрофа, що перетворює планету на пустелю. Але найвідчайдушніші шукачі пригод, удаючи із себе геологів та інших вчених, продовжують спускатися на планету з орбіти в пошуках скарбів і різних ресурсів. Команди шукачів пригод постійно конкурують, і до 1910 року планета перетворюється на справжню арену баталій. І гравці, власне, й мають сформувати команду, подорожувати Софією в пошуках ресурсів і воювати за них з іншим командами.
