Вже наступного вівторка, 10 вересня, між кандидатами у президенти США Дональдом Трампом та Камалою Гарріс пройдуть дебати. Телеканал ABC затвердив остаточні правила протистояння. Про це повідомляє  ABC News.

Зазначається, що модераторами дебатів виступатимуть провідний та головний редактор програми "World News Tonight" Девід Мьюїр та ведуча програми "Prime" на каналі ABC News Live Лінсі Девіс.

Це будуть перші дебати між кандидатом від Демократичної партії Гарріс та її опонентом від республіканців Трампом. Вони пройдуть у Філадельфії (штат Пенсільванія) у Національному конституційному центрі та не передбачають присутності глядачів. Дебати триватимуть 90 хвилин із двома рекламними паузами.

Правила дебатів

Запитання кандидатам у президенти США зможуть ставити лише модератори зустрічі. Мікрофон буде включений тільки для політика, чия черга говорити.

Вступних заяв не буде, а на заключні виступи буде виділено дві хвилини на кожного кандидата.

Крім того, час відповіді на кожне запитання також буде обмежено двома хвилинами. Ще дві хвилини буде на спростування та ще одна на уточнення, роз'яснення чи відповідь.

Трамп та Гарріс стоятимуть за трибунами протягом усього часу дебатів. На сцені заборонено будь-який реквізит або заздалегідь написані нотатки. Кожному кандидату видадуть ручку, блокнот та пляшку води.

Також співробітникам передвиборної кампанії не дозволяється взаємодіяти з кандидатами протягом усього заходу, включаючи рекламні паузи.

Що ще відомо

У вівторок було проведено віртуальне підкидання монетки, щоб визначити місце на подіумі та порядок заключних виступів. Трамп переміг у підкиданні та вибрав порядок.

Колишній президент США виступить із останнім заключним словом, а віце-президент Гарріс обрала праву позицію на трибуні, тобто ліворуч на сцені.

Вибори у США

Нагадаємо, що вибори президента США відбудуться 5 листопада 2024 року. Американські громадяни обиратимуть як главу держави, так і віцепрезидента. На посаду новообрані чиновники вступлять 20 січня 2025 року, після інавгурації.
