Американська Громадська бібліотека у Вустері у штаті Массачусетс дозволила платити штрафи за загублені чи пошкоджені предмети зображеннями котів. Акція діє до кінця березня – і успіх у неї шалений. Про це повідомляє UPI.

У бібліотеці заявили, що достатньо принести замість грошей фото чи малюнок кота, кажуть у бібліотеці.

“Як у вас у житті немає кота – намалюйте його. Навіть якщо це буде великий кіт, як лев чи тигр, ми все рівно будемо раді його бачити”, – сказав директор бібліотеки Джейсон Гомер.

У бібліотеці пояснюють, що вирішили запровадити таку акцію через велику кількість штрафів, яка накопилася у молодих користувачів через пандемію Covid-19. 

Акція триває лише п’ять днів. І уже понад 400 користувачів принесли зображення котів – і їхні профілі тепер чисті від помітки про штраф.

Сайт бібліотеки у свою чергу повідомляє, що насправді можна показати зображення чи малюнок будь-якої тварини: собаки, єнота, косатки, капібари тощо.
