Українка Лілія Усік уперше стала депутаткою німецького парламенту Бундестагу. Жінка родом із Костянтинівки, що на Донбасі. Про це повідомляє Deutsche Welle. 

До Німеччини Лілія приїхала 12 років тому на навчання. Потім почала працювати у Бундестазі, займалася питаннями України та правами людини. Після окупації Криму почала боротися проти фейків та зайнялася питаннями оборони та безпеки. 

Офіційно Лілія почне працювати як депутатка 16 березня. Вона балотувалася від консервативної ХДС, до якої належала і Ангела Меркель. Каже, що здобула перемогу в окрузі, де перемагали постійно лише ліві. 

“Коли я сюди приїхала, українська діаспора ще не була така велика. Активні діаспоряни, які займаються цією темою все життя, завжди мріяли про Український дім. Мені здається, що ця мрія має колись втілитися, щоб ми мали якусь інституцію українську, яка надаватиме можливість проводити якісь заходи, зустрічатися, проводити різноманітні формати”, – поділилася своїми планами вона.
