Мерія Праги орендувала чотиризірковий готель, щоб розмістити там бездомних, які заразилися COVID-19.

Заступник директора міського центру соціальних послуг (CSSP) Людмила Томесова повідомила, що гостям готелю було запропоновано триразове харчування, повне медичне обслуговування, телебачення та інші зручності на час одужання. З листопада там розмістилося близько 250 осіб.

“У готелі є гості, навіть якщо вони не стандартні комерційні, і він весь час заповнений”, – сказала вона.

Чехія була однією тих країн світу, які найбільше постраждали під час нової хвилі епідемії. Смертність від вірусу досягла майже 25 000 осіб при населенні 10,7 мільйона.

За даними сайту “Наш світ в даних” (Our World in Data), за останній тиждень рівень інфікування на душу населення був третім за величиною у світі.

Томесова додала, що Прага, в якій проживає близько 4500 бездомних, намагалася допомогти людям знайти притулок на час хвороби та отримати доступ до інших послуг після одужання.
