72-річний спадкоємець британського престолу – принц Уельський Чарльз представив капсульну колекцію одягу.

Про це повідомляє видання Vogue.

Колекція була створена благодійним фондом Чарльза The Prince’s Foundation (серед іншого займається підтримкою спадщини Шотландії), а також італійською компанією Yoox Net-A-Porter (спеціалізується на соціально відповідальній моді). Зазначена компанія залучає молодих дизайнерів і використовує екологічні матеріали в поєднанні з сучасними технологіями.

У колекцію екологічного одягу під назвою Modern Artisan Project увійшли 10 жіночих і вісім чоловічих речей, повідомляє видання People. Це, зокрема, такі речі, як в’язаний кашеміровий светр із коміром під горло (найдоступніший предмет одягу в цій колекції за ціною 475 доларів).

Також є пальто з вовни мериноса і кашеміру з поясом за ціною 1495 доларів; бавовняна сорочка за 795 доларів, картатий костюм, блейзер за 1350 доларів і штани за 1095 доларів.

Авторами колекції стали шестеро студентів Міланського політехнічного університету спільно з британцями. Виготовили одяг у шотландському Ейрширі (в штаб-квартирі фонду принца Чарльза).

Як відзначають журналісти, принц не любить викидати одяг (він прихильник усвідомленого споживання).

“Я з тих, хто ненавидить будь-що викидати. Отже, я б вважав за краще, щоб за одягом доглядали і навіть за необхідності перешивали, ніж викидали… Я терпіти не можу відходи, в тому числі харчові. Я б вважав за краще знайти речам інше застосування. Ось чому я так довго говорив про необхідність циркулярної економіки, а не лінійної, де ви просто створюєте, купуєте і викидаєте. Це трагедія, бо ми неминуче надмірно експлуатуємо природні ресурси, що швидко виснажуються”, – наголошував принц Чарльз в інтерв’ю британському Vogue.

За словами директора компанії Yoox Net-a-Porter Федеріко Марчетті, Чарльз давно стурбований проблемами екології.

“Він говорив про шкідливий вплив пластика ще в 1969 році, в рік мого народження!” – зазначив Марчетті і назвав принца “своїм натхненником”.

Речі з нової колекції будуть продаватися онлайн, в магазинах Net-a-Porter, Yoox, Mr. Porter і Outnet. Доходи підуть до благодійного фонду принца Чарльза.
