Президентські вибори в Польщі, які були намічені на 10 травня, будуть оголошені такими, що не відбулися, незважаючи на те, що країна поступово виходить з режиму карантину.

Про це повідомили польські ЗМІ з посиланням на заяву лідера правлячої партії "Закон і справедливість" Ярослава Качинського і його партнера по коаліції, лідера політичного об'єднання "Угода" Ярослава Говіна.

Політики уточнили, що таке рішення прийнято через відмову опозиції прийняти пропозиції, що дають можливість провести вибори президента у встановлені конституцією терміни.

Після 10 травня 2020 року Верховний суд просто оголосить вибори такими, що не відбулися, а спікер Сейму оголосить про нові президентські вибори в перший можливий термін.

"Через відхилення опозицією всіх конструктивних пропозицій, що дозволяють провести президентські вибори в цьому році протягом конституційного періоду, партії "Право і справедливість" та "Угода" Ярослава Говіна підготували рішення, яке забезпечить полякам можливість брати участь у демократичних виборах", - сказано в спільній заяві.

Планується, що вибори будуть проводитися в заочній формі (поштою) "в інтересах безпеки поляків і відповідно до епідеміологічною ситуацією".
