Итальянские власти северного города Больцано установили на столбах «подушки безопасности для пешеходов». Таким образом они решили позаботиться о жителях, которые пользуются смартфоном во время ходьбы и не замечают препятствий. Инициатива входит в рамки информационной кампании Stay Smart, призывающей к сознательному использованию мобильного телефона.
 

Конструкция для безопасности граждан представляет собой яркий и мягкий материал, которым обматывают столб на уровне головы человека. На подушке изображен символ в виде человека, который идет, уткнувшись в телефон. Яркий цвет подушек должен помочь людям заметить препятствие, но если этого не произошло, то мягкий поролон защитит их голову при ударе. А изображение человечка заставляет прохожих задуматься об опасности чрезмерного использования мобильного телефона.

«Постоянное использование мобильного телефона вызывает зависимость, превращающую пользователей в так называемых «социальных зомби». Кампания Stay Smart призывает вас пользоваться мобильным телефоном сознательно и стремиться к общению в реальном мире с людьми, близкими вам, и не только», — говорится в сообщении итальянских властей.

Кроме того, власти отметили, что отказ от постоянного использования гаджетов позволит каждому внести свой вклад в защиту окружающей среды и, кроме того, защитить собственное здоровье. Компания призвана оградить итальянцев от излишнего излучения Wi-Fi, а также защитить жизнь и здоровье граждан, отказавшихся от использования телефона во время ходьбы и за рулём автомобиля.

Социальная реклама транслируется на цифровых билбордах и плакатах в междугородних автобусах. Кроме того в транспорте будут показаны видеоролики на соответствующую тему.

Кампания мгновенно получила вирусную популярность в социальных сетях. Многие итальянцы положительно отнеслись к инициативе властей. «Больцано, наверное, единственный город, которому дороги головы его жителей», — писали они в Instagram.

«До чего же мы докатились…подушки для дураков…вот куда уходят наши деньги! Что же будет дальше?», — иронизировали некоторые пользователи.
