Соціальна мережа Facebook заблокувала більше 800 сторінок і аккаунтів користувачів через поширення неправдивої інформації перед проміжними виборами в Конгрес США у листопаді.
 

Про це повідомляє телеканал CNN.

"Facebook у четвер, за кілька тижнів до проміжних виборів у США, оголосив про видалення понад 800 сторінок та аккаунтів через порушення правил компанії", - йдеться у повідомленні.

Як зазначається, компанія заблокувала 559 сторінок і 251 аккаунт у зв'язку з тим, що вони постійно порушували правила про непоширення спам-повідомлень.

Порушення правил щодо контенту включали в себе використання фейкових облікових записів, штучне збільшення зацікавленості аудиторії, оманливу координацію та ін.

У Facebook наголошують, що заблоковані сторінки і аккаунти активізувалися "саме в цей час - незадовго до проведення проміжних виборів у США".

Як повідомлялося, проміжні вибори в Конгрес США пройдуть 6 листопада. Під час виборів будуть переобрані усі члени Палати представників Конгресу, а також значна частина сенаторів і губернаторів.
