Депутат Европарламента Ребекка Хармс заявила, что получила собственный опыт участия в дезинформационной кампании. Так она прокомментировала в Twitter информацию о том, что о законопроекте о равных правах для ЛГБТ-сообщества она разговаривала не с представителями Администрации Президента Украины Петра Порошенко.

"Меня и мой офис систематически дезинформировали о проекте закона о равных правах, используя сфабрикованный телефон и почту, выдавая себя за главу президентской администрации. Это был мой собственный опыт участия в продолжающейся дезинформационной войне", – написала она.

Никто из Администрации Президента Украины не обсуждал с депутатом Европарламента Ребеккой Хармс какие-либо законопроекты о равенстве прав. Об этом 17 июня сообщили агентству "Интерфакс-Украина" в пресс-службе АПУ.

"Никто из администрации Ребекке Хармс не звонил и не обсуждал с ней эту тему. Высока вероятность того, что ее просто разыграли", – сказали в пресс-службе.

17 июня Хармс сказала журналистам, что Порошенко на следующей неделе представит законопроект о равных правах. Советник Хармс Максим Эристави уточнил, что Порошенко через главу своей администрации проинформировал ее о своей законодательной инициативе, которая "будет касаться и прав ЛГБТ-украинцев в рамках европейских законодательных стандартов".

Хармс подчеркнула, что инцидент не умаляет тот факт, что прошедший 17 июня в Киеве Марш равенства "является существенным успехом для Украины и продвижением гражданских прав и равенства для украинцев".

"Благодарю украинскую полицию и Национальную гвардию за защиту события", – отметила евродепутат.
