Канада и другие страны-члены НАТО должны сделать больше, чтобы противостоять растущему и все более утонченному использованию кибер-войны Россией. Об этом заявил председатель Организации Североатлантического договора, пишет CBC.

«Это постоянно растущая угроза, и мы должны постоянно адаптироваться», — заявил Йенс Столтенберг. Он считает, что цифровые угрозы происходят в разных формах и могут быть нацеленными против любого.

В свою очередь, министр обороны Эстонии Юри Луик отметил: «В каком-то смысле, каждая страна является соседом России, поскольку кибермир не признает границ, поэтому вы можете сказать, что Канада является соседом России».

Это цифровое соседство, по мнению Луика, означает, что Канада не должна удивляться, если Россия будет пытаться вмешаться в федеральные выборы 2019 года.

«Здесь нет сомнений, что мы имеем дело с российским правительством, которое имеет очень агрессивный подход к Западу», — добавил он.

Напомним, 14 ноября премьер-министр Великобритании Тереза Мэй обвинила Россию во вмешательстве в выборы других государств и в распространение фальшивых новостей, назвав их попытками «вооружения информации», чтобы посеять раздоры на западе.
