"Видавництво Старого Лева" напечатает первую за 11 лет своего существования книгу на русском языке.

Об этом на своей странице в Facebook сообщила главный редактор издательства Марьяна Савка, пишет УП.

Такое решение приняли в знак протеста против "поспешных и непродуманных решений новой власти" – в частности, отмены языкового закона в первые же дни работы новой власти.

По словам Савки, издательство никогда не публиковало книги на русском, защищаясь от давления российского книжного рынка и отстаивая отечественные литературу и книгоиздание.

"Сейчас же обещаю вам как издатель, что следующая книга, которую мы возьмем в работу, - будет книга на русском языке", - завила Савка.

"Уважаю право каждого человека высказывать свои мысли родным языком - хоть на суахили. Высказываю свое глубокое уважение к каждому русскоязычному гражданину нашей страны, кто защищал нашу честь, нашу независимость и право быть человеком", - отметила она.

"Я украинка, моя профессия - украинский язык. Я говорю на украинском, пишу по-украински. Но я НЕ МОГУ ВИДЕТЬ И СЛЫШАТЬ этой спекуляции на языковом вопросе. Я не могу понять политиков - что вам надо? Вам надо, чтобы идеологи Кремля взяли пас и разыгрывали мяч на своем поле?", - заявила Савка.

По информации издательства, одной из следующих книжек "Видавництва Старого Лева" будет книга одесситки Зои Казанжи "Если бы я была...".
