Газета The New York Times запустила сайт в доменной зоне .onion. Как сообщает vc.ru, об этом рассказала директор по информационной безопасности издания Руна Сандвик, пишет Телекритика.
Сайт разработан при помощи Tor Onion Service, сейчас он работает в тестовом режиме. Поэтому часть функций пока еще не работает, например пользователи не могут оставлять комментарии.
По словам Сандвик, часть читателей использует Tor для обхода блокировок, а кто-то из целей безопасности и личных предпочтений.Получить доступ к новому сайту The New York Times, как и к любому сайту в зоне .onion, можно только через браузер Tor.
По итогу экспериментального запуска редакция газеты планирует рассказать о своем опыте использования сервиса.
Как известно, Tor – это система прокси-серверов, позволяющая устанавливать анонимное сетевое соединение, защищенное, в частности, от прослушивания. Она рассматривается как анонимная сеть виртуальных туннелей, предоставляющая передачу данных в зашифрованном виде.
