У Оттаві з'явиться меморіальний комплекс, присвячений жертвам комунізму. Один із його проектів передбачає спорудження статуї Леніна у момент падіння, повідомляє Укрінформ.

Опис цього проекту розміщений для громадських консультацій на сайті канадського уряду.

Зазначається, що автори проекту Джеф Катлер та Кен Лам надихнулися "ленінопадом" останніх років в Україні. 

Комплекс "Меморіал жертвам комунізму: Канада - територія прихистку" зведуть в центрі Оттави наступного року. За результатами відбору, до фінального етапу вийшло п'ять проектів, а переможця влітку 2017-го обере професійне журі з урахуванням побажань громадськості.

Нагадаємо, в Україні хочуть зробити музей на території експоцентру зі знесених комуністичних пам'ятників. Лише в столиці прибрали 138 монументів і табличок. Частину з них, згідно з документами, утилізовано через пошкодження при демонтажі. Інші зберігаються на території зеленбуду.
