На заході також щонайменше ще два чиновники національної безпеки з кампанії Трампа розмовляли з послом, а також ще кілька його радників з національної безпеки були присутні на заході. Про це повідомляє ТСН з посиланням на USA Today.

Серед посадових осіб з кампанії Трампа, які зустрічалися з Кисляком, були Джей Ді Гордон та Картер Пейдж. Про що зазначені особи розмовляли, невідомо. Утім ті, хто також брали участь у заході в Клівленді повідомили, що для команди кампанії президента не є чимось незвичним взаємодіяти з дипломатами.

Однак ця нова інформація знову суперечить запереченням з боку чиновників Трампа, які вони повторюють вже не один місяць, про те, що його кампанія не мала зв'язків з офіційними особами, що представляють російський уряд.

Зазначимо, що Гордон, який керував консультативним комітет як директор кампанії Трампа з національної безпеки, заявив, що хоча він і розмовляв з Кисляком у Клівленді, це не є чимось незвичайним, оскільки для президентської кампанії характерно взаємодіяти з іншими дипломатами. Він назвав ту розмову "неформальною".

Своєю чергою Пейдж, який також розмовляв з послом РФ, послався на "правила конфіденційності", відмовляючись сказати, що він обговорював з послом.
