Как передаёт PRпортал со ссылкой на материал NBC, на Обаму в первые дни президентства было подано всего три иска, на Билл Клинтон и Буш-младший и вовсе получили лишь по два иска каждый.
Дональд Трамп же отличился «по-крупному»: в настоящее время его имя упоминается в 52 исках, которые зарегистрированы в 17 штатах. В основном эти иски связаны со скандальными решениями Трампа относительно миграционной политики США: местные журналисты располагают информацией о том, что на Трампа подают в суд не только активисты или представители религиозных организаций, но также и высокопоставленные чиновники — например, генеральный прокурор Вашингтона.
Кроме того, указы Трампа не устроили и городские власти Сан-Франциско, которые также решили выказать своё несогласие посредством судебного иска. В свою очередь, на Трампа подан иск и от лица прокурора Калифорнии, который не согласен с правильностью идеи о строительстве стены на границе с Мексикой.
