Компанія Microsoft вчора презентувала новий корпоративний месенджер Teams - прямого конкурента Slack.

У відповідь керівництво компанії Slack опублікувало в The New York Times відповідь Microsoft, стилізовану під під знамениту рекламу Apple 1981 року. В ній Apple привітала вихід появу першого персонального комп'ютера від IBM іронічною фразою: «Вітаємо, IBM. Серйозно» (Welcome, IBM. Seriously), пише Media Sapiens

У своєму зверненні до Microsoft, компанія Slack написала: «Дорога Microsoft. Вау, які важливі новини! Вітаємо з презентацією. Ми щиро раді появі певний конкуренції. Ми раді, що ви прийшли до того, ж висновку що і ми: кілька років тому ми зрозуміли, що дуже скоро будь-який бізнес буде користуватися Slack. Або чимось на зразок цього. Тому, якщо вже ви вирішили зробити "щось на зразок цього", хочемо дати вам дружню пораду. Ви не зробите щось таке, що люди по-справжньому полюблять, просто повторивши функції Slack».

Далі компанія радить конкурентам працювати з любов'ю та навчитися по-новому працювати з користувачами, аби запропонувати їм нові та більш ефективні інструменти для роботи.

Раніше мережу для бізнесу під назвою Workplace запустила компанія Facebook. Інтерфейс Workplace схожий на звичну соцмережу Facebook. Так компанія запропонувала рішення, коли користувачі створюють два акаунти: один особистий і один для роботи. Втім, поки що Workplace не склав гідної конкуренції Slack та Yammer.
