Бразильський Vogue розкритикували за нещодавню фотосесію на підтримку Паралімпіади.

Замість того, щоб зняти реальних спортсменів, які беруть участь в іграх, журнал вирішив відзняти звичайних моделей і домалювати їм ампутовані кінцівки за допомогою Photoshop, пише Media Sapiens

Журнал опублікував фото зі зйомок в мережі Instagram з підписом: «Ми всі паралімпійці».

Користувачі незабаром помітили те, що «спортсмени» насправді виглядають як моделі з фото бекстейджу, опублікованого справжньою паралімпійською спортсменкою Александрою Бруніна (Alexandre Bruninha).

Моделями на знімках виявилися Клео Пірес і Пауло Вілена, які є також членами бразильського Паралімпійського комітету. Після зйомки, Vogue в за допомогою комп'ютерної програми «ампутували» руку Пірес і ногу Вілена, домалювавши йому протез.

Публікація зібрала багато негативних коментарів та відгуків: журнал розкритикували як за «поганий смак», так і за неповагу до паралімпійців.

Редакція Vogue Brazil у свою чергу пояснила, що намагалася таким чином розповсюдити позитивне повідомлення про Паралімпійські ігри, але визнає, що концепція виявилася провальною у сприйнятті громадськості.

Також як писав MediaSapiens, фотографія 5-річного Омрана Дакніша, якому вдалося вижити після авіаудару по Алеппо, стала символом відчаю і безвиході громадянської війни в Сирії.

Інше фото, з протестів проти вбивств темношкірих поліцією в американському місті Батон-Руж назвали «легендарним». Його зробив Джонатан Бахман, який кілька останніх років співпрацює з Reuters, пише BBC.
