Участники церемонии переименования расказали корреспонденту "Фонтанки", что считают, что улицы и мосты Санкт-Петербурга нужно называть именами героев, принесших городу всенародную славу. А воин-чеченец Абухаджи Идрисов, защищавший Ленинград, наиболее достоен таких почестей – в составе 125-й стрелковой дивизии в 1944 г он освобождал Красное Село. Снайпер Идрисов уничтожил более 300 фашистов и был удостоен звания Героя Советского Союза, сообщает издание Фонтанка.ру.

При укреплении таблички был обнаружен ещё один вариант названия моста – мост Героев. 

Пока официально безымянный мост через Дудергофский канал с самого первого дня обсуждений по его наименованию стал поводом для скандалов. Часть горожан высказалась категорически против решения топонимической комиссии о присвоении ему имения Ахмата Кадырова. Одни активисты укрепляли на нем таблички с альтернативными названиями, другие нарисовали поблизости портретполковника Юрия Буданова. В ночь на среду неизвестные частично закрасили граффити с изображением Буданова черной краской, в ночь на четверг граффити было закрашено полностью.
